Ebba Rönneskog visits wine region Grevenmacher in Luxembourg

Ebba Rönneskog visits wine region Grevenmacher in Luxembourg

Luxembourg is known to most people as a small country in Europe (the least populated country in the EU actually), however the country is well worth a visit for its elegant Riesling wines. I recently visited the small village of Wormeldange in the district of Grevenmacher, situated in the Mosel valley. The region is famous for its beautiful steep hills and vineyards, and it is the birth place of Luxembourgish wines, mostly white grape varieties including Riesling, Auxerrois and Pinot

Simon Källquist at wine fair FENAVIN Spain 2015

Last week, Simon attended FENAVIN – the Spanish wine industry’s most important global trade fair – in Ciudad Real, Spain. Not only did he get to meet with Spanish producers with great potential, but he also got to experience the Spanish heat wave: 44 ⁰C! A bit of a chock for a Swede who’s used to a slightly lower average temperature in the month of May..! Over 1000 brands were on display at FENAVIN, including an increasing amount of organic

Emma visiting wine producers in Bourgogne

Emma visiting wine producers in Bourgogne

The first weekend in May, I visited some of the wine producers we work with in Burgundy. The weather was not on our side, rain all the time, but the visits were very enjoyable and the landscape unbelievably green. First out was our dear Bertrand at the Château de Beauregard in Fuisse. They produce delicious Puoilly-Fuissé, Saint-Véran and make different Beaujolais Cru in their cellar. Then followed the grand Château Meursault where we were received by Nicolas Laine. We went

Simon at a B2B Event in Lambrusco – Modena

Simon attended a business to business and educational event in Lambrusco, Modena last week where he met about 20 producers. He had the opportunity to taste and evaluate their products, and we are all very excited about Lambrusco being launched in Sweden. Swedes are not so used to drinking red sparkling wines, so it will be fun to see how this is received by the Swedish market! We hope that it is going to be a big seller. It was

Weekly discgolf tournament in the office

Weekly discgolf tournament in the office

The winner of this weeks disc golf tournament was Simon after a very even game. The way to tournament works is that all participants choose the rules of one game. When Emma decided, the rule was to use the carton boxes and also to add a bit of body movement to the game. It might look easy on the image and video, but in fact it is very difficult to perform in throwing stage, when moving around in a circle.

Concealed Wines launches its first beer at Systembolaget – Jopen Koyt Gruitbeer

Concealed Wines launches its first beer at Systembolaget - Jopen Koyt Gruitbeer

Our first beer Jopen Koyt Gruitbeer is now available in certain Systembolaget stores. The beer is brewed acording to a recipe from 1407 where no hops are used, but a special mix of herbs. This results in a nuanced beer with a fruity nose and hints of honey, orange peel, apricot and almond cake. Jopen Brewery is situated in an old remodeled church in the heart of Dutch Haarlem, where they also have an awarded restaurant (http://www.jopenbier.nl/en/). Well worth a visit!
