Rara Neagra Raritet by Carlevana Winery | Vintage 2022

Carlevana Winery is one of the most forward-looking companies in the wine branch of the Republic of Moldova, which enjoys a dynamic development, with the main goal of producing high-quality wines! Carlevana Winery is located in the heart of Moldova, the village of Merenii Noi (New Mereni), 25 km from Chisinau. The geographical location protects the vineyards from winter frosts and summer drought. Carlevana has approximately 151h of vine plantations: 41h right near Mereni and 110h 20-25km away in the village of Cretoaia.

Natural high-quality dry red aged wine. It is made of an endemic Moldava sort of grapes – Rara Neagra, grown on the sunny hills of Central Moldova. This is a dark ruby wine. It is notable for its rich aroma of cherry, plum and bilberry with slight vanilla hints from the oak barrels. The taste is deep, rich and matured, with a lingering finish. Best enjoyed with baked and roasted meat with spicy sauce, duck dishes, and cheeses. Best served at 16-18°C.
