Over the last 5 months we had two great interns working with us at Concealed Wines, Sanket Chavan and Mareike Appel. Both study International Wine Business in Geisenheim University, Germany. We are glad to share with you their experiences working at our office and living in Stockholm.

“I am Mareike, a German student from Hochschule Geisenheim University and I want to share my internship experience at Concealed Wines with you. During my studies of International Wine Business I decided to focus on the Scandinavian monopoly markets for my internship. This is how I came to Concealed Wines. In the beginning I did not know what to expect since the market there is so different from what I know from Germany or other European countries, so I was very eager to get to know the importer’s work. I spent an amazing four months in Sweden’s capital Stockholm and would recommend to everyone who is interested in wine, beer and spirits to apply and see for themselves!”

“Me and the other intern Sanket were quickly integrated into the team of super open and friendly colleagues. From day one we got a lot of responsibility for our own projects and a lot of trust as well. During my time here I got to practice many different skills like languages, communication, organizational skills and technical skills for excel, wordpress, canva etc. Some of my daily tasks were contacting and advising producers about tenders, expanding the supplier network, SEO and Marketing tasks and planning the schedule for fair visits.

I also got the chance to help out the sister company of Concealed Wines, WineTourism.com by managing bookings and providing customer service for both visitors and wineries all over the world”.

“I am Sanket Chavan, student at Hochschule Geisenheim University, studying International Wine Business. I couldn’t agree with Mareike more; my internship at Concealed Wines was extremely beneficial in terms of closely studying the monopoly’s system, making new friends, and learning Swedish culture. As an intern, I got some quality responsibilities to handle such as standalone projects, single point of communication with suppliers, handling leverantorsportalen, product samples and many SEO and SEM tasks. I appreciate that the entire team takes the initiative to teach and trusts the front-line tasks to be completed. This approach at Concealed Wines instills enormous confidence in taking on more risky projects and demonstrating creativity. The entire team is very supportive and has made academics my top priority. This internship has been a fantastic learning experience that has greatly enhanced my skill set.”

“Overall we had an amazing experience at work and outside and would recommend it to everyone! Thanks to Polina, Akshat, Niklas, Calle, Carola, Simon, Alexandra and of course Bobo for this time!”

We at Concealed Wines had a great time with Mareike and Sanket and we are sure they both will have a bright future in wine business!

Wishing you all a lovely week ahead,

/Polina
